CMSP’s global metabolomics assay aims to profile a wide array of metabolites in submitted biological matrices using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) detection. Metabolic profiling is conducted using a Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Exploris 480 mass spectrometer and polarity switching to provide full-scan profiling with high-mass-accuracy measurements. Our facility maintains a comprehensive spectral and retention time library of 100’s of chemical standards to provide confident metabolite identifications. Our use of data-independent acquisition (DIA) scan modes ensures we can freely detect and identify new molecule additions without requiring re-injection of any experimental results. We employ robust quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) pipelines to ensure all collected results are reproducible and free of batch effects. All data processing is conducted in-house, and research customers are provided with clear, interpretable reports that directly highlight statistically significant outcomes. Research customers may request pathway analysis, figure generation, and data archiving as add-on services at a nominal cost. Our global metabolomics assay can accommodate small or large experiment sizes and may be adapted to meet researchers' unique needs.
